Veneers

Veneers fit neatly over the front of a tooth to cover chips or discolouration, or can be used to minimise unsightly gaps. They are thin tooth coloured shells, normally made of porcelain, that offer an attractive and less damaging way to transform teeth as very little enamel needs to be removed before the veneer is fixed in place.

The treatment process

• A very small layer of enamel may be removed but this is not always necessary.
• We take an impression of the tooth and note its colour so the veneer will fit well and blend in perfectly.
• When ready, the veneer is fixed permanently to the tooth to hide any defects.
